Farming Matters In The County of Brant Election!

Municipal elections are extremely important to farmers and those involved in agribusinesses.  Local council approves the property tax increases as a reflection of budget needs and projects for the upcoming year.  As indicated in the first article, a fairer system of taxation on farmlands is more reflective of the consumption of resources.  I would be willing to work with the province as a councillor to reduce the maximum rate charged on farmlands.  The second article stresses the need for working relationships between municipalities and the province in order for  farm issues to be heard and addressed.
